Frank J Crowley, 74, died on May 22nd 2021 at Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City TN. He was born November 27, 1946 in Bangor ME to Norman Crowley and Nathalie Stone. He grew up in Bangor ME and Fairfield CT where he attended Andrew Warde High School.
Frank spent more than 30 years serving the local communities of Bangor and Veazie as a firefighter, patrolman and sergeant before becoming Veazie Chief of Police. His work included several years with the DEA as well as special security at Bangor International Airport.
He had a love of music from the 50’s and 60’s, planting his gardens and cooking. He was gifted in wood working and built many bookshelves for his extensive library. He had a great fondness for animals especially his boxers Cassius, Ziva, Zelda, Ruby and Rocko. He loved to travel and visited many countries including his bucket list visit to Israel.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years Helen Crowley, his son Shawn Crowley, grandchildren Brianna, Devlin and Aiden Crowley, his sister Carol Stone and by his many brothers, sisters and children in the Law Enforcement Community that he loved so proudly and deeply.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Tuesday June 8, 2021, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center Street, Bangor, following the service.
