GLENBURN AND ORONO - It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Frederick “Ticky” Earl Mason, Jr., 80, on June 16, 2021. He was born in Caribou, Maine, August 13, 1940, to Frederick and Louise (McNamara) Mason.
Ticky graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School in Orono and retired from Magazines Inc. after 41 years. Some of his proudest moments were watching his grandkids play sports.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Rose (Arseneau) Mason are his son, Joseph Mason; his daughter, Julie Hartery and her husband, Daniel; three grandchildren, Carley, Mackenzie, and Mason Hartery; brothers, James Mason and his wife, Elizabeth and Michael Mason and his wife, Jeanne; sisters, Janice Poulsen and her husband, Oscar, and Lisa Perkins; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Donald, Ronald, and Kerry; brother-in-law, Glenn Perkins and his parents-in-law, Antoine and Emma Arseneau.
The family would like to thank Acadia Hospital Mood and Memory staff and SJH Home and Hospice staff for their wonderful care and support.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at the Parish of the Resurrection of the Lord, Holy Family Church, 429 Main Street, Old Town, ME, followed by the Rite of Committal at Riverside Cemetery, Bennoch Road, Orono. Family and friends are welcome to share in conversation and refreshments at the church hall after the Committal.
