Our beloved Gail Diane (Curry) Garrow was called home on October 24th after an 8 month long battle with leukemia. Gail was born November 27th 1956 in Bangor, the daughter of Grover and Elizabeth Curry. She graduated from Bangor High School in 1975, from there she joined the United States Army. While in the Army she was a member of the final unit of the Women’s Army Corp (WAC) of which she was very proud. Her Military career saw her go from Hawaii to Germany where she met the love of her life Michael. After the Army they married and settled in Reno, Nevada where they had one son, Seth. The family moved to Gail’s hometown of Bangor in 1998 and have been here since. Gail worked for OHI from 1999 until 2018. There she made several friends all of whom the family would like to thank. The light of Gail’s life was her two grandsons whom she adored. Gail was predeceased by her father Grover, mother Elizabeth, brother George, cousin Sue Evans and very special niece Jennifer. She is survived by her husband Michael, son Seth and his wife Tracy, grandsons Zachary and Cooper, stepson Michael Jr, stepdaughter Dawn, sisters Carol, Cheryl and Lisa with husband David, brother Greg with wife Cheryl, nephews Kevin, David and Logan with wife Taylor and daughter Autumn, niece Keyla with daughter Trinity, very special friend Debbie Shaw (and family) of Maryland and many more cousins, nephews, nieces, step grandchildren and friends.
A funeral service will be held 2 pm Wednesday November 2, 2022 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor, following the service.
The family asks for donations in Gail’s name be made to “Reigning Hope Ranch” 305 Center Drive Orrington Maine.
She will be Forever missed and never forgotten.
