Bangor - Gail E. Santerre passed away on October 18, 2024, at her home in Bangor. She was born August 12, 1964, in Millinocket, Maine, the daughter of Floyd and Bertha (LaFrance) Bolstridge.
Gail grew up in East Millinocket and was a graduate of Schenck High School, class of 1983.
Gail loved being a homemaker, working in her garden, talking, and singing “Ave Maria” to the plants. She also loved taking care of her five grandchildren during the school year.
Gail is survived by her husband of 38 years, Darryl M. Santerre; four children, Aaron Santerre and his wife, Kylie, Steven Santerre and his wife, Luciana, Matthew Santerre, and Sarah Santerre; five grandchildren, Aila Santerre, Maryn Santerre, Isaiah Santerre, Zelie Santerre, and Silas Santerre; three siblings, Sandra Morin, Donna Bolstridge, and David Bolstridge; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Gail was predeceased by her parents, Floyd Bolstridge and Bertha Bolstridge.
Relatives and friends are invited to call from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 24, 2024 at The Parish of the Resurrection of the Lord, Holy Family Church, 429 Main St., Old Town, followed by the Rite of Committal at Mt. Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor.
In Gail’s memory, Masses for the repose of her soul may be offered at any Catholic parish worldwide. Prayers are also appreciated.
