Gary Coulombe

September 29, 1958 — January 26, 2022

Bradley – Gary A. “Rev.” Coulombe, 63, died unexpectedly at his home with Allen by his side on January 26, 2022. He was born September 29, 1958, in Bangor, the son of Robert and Beverly (Gothrow) Coulombe.

After graduating from Old Town High School, Gary worked at the Old Town Shoe factory for the next 17 years before going to work at Sam’s Club in Bangor where he spent the last 18 years. He was also a fixture at the Old Town Bowling Center where he worked for many years.

Gary was an avid sports fan, who enjoyed following his favorite teams, the NY Giants, Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, and the Boston Bruins. He loved playing softball and would also field a team every year. Gary cherished his cats. He was kind and generous person who would do anything for anyone.

In addition to his father, Gary was predeceased by his step-father, Woodbury Sibley; two sisters, Cheryl Coulombe, and Brenda Wickett; brother-in-law, Dwayne Madden.

He is survived by his loving husband of 26 years, Allan T. Severance; his mother, Beverly Sibley; daughter, Nicole Stevens and husband, Mark; four brothers, Robert Coulombe and wife, Clara, Richard Coulombe and wife, Cathy, Timothy Coulombe and wife, Syl, and Michael Coulombe and wife, Amy; four sisters, Katherine Emerson and husband, Dan, Belinda Doucette and husband, Clifford, Michele Doucette and husband, Jamie, and Cindy Madden and boyfriend, Butch; two grandchildren, Kerrigan and Brooklyn; numerus aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; mother-in-law, Betty Severance; brother-in-law, Michael Clark and wife, Cheryl; his extended Sam’s Club family; his friends of over 50 years, Alex and Donald which he considered his brothers.

A celebration of Gary’s life will be held from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the Hilton Garden Inn, 250 Haskell Road, Bangor (Behind Sam’s Club). Audrey Street will be officiating.
