Gary F. Jarvis

Gary F. Jarvis, 79, passed away April 30, 2019 after a 20 year battle with ALS. He was born in Danforth, October 13, 1939 the son of Floyd W. and Madeline E. (Amero) Jarvis.
After high school Gary was drafted into the US Army and served two years. Following his discharge from the Army he began a career in the sheet metal business working all over Northern New England.
Gary was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers International Association Local Union 17, and the Ralph J. Pollard Masonic Lodge.
He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, Dennis and Russell and a sister, Jessie .
Surviving are his wife, Diane (Boardman) Jarvis, daughter, Michele Gray and her husband Seth; grandson, Michael Cameron, Jr. and his significant other, Allison Wilson; granddaughter, Melissa Cameron and her significant other, Billy Clark; sister, Shelly Davis and her husband, Kirk; several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call 5 to 7 pm. Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor where a celebration of his life will be held 2 pm. Sunday with the Rev. Ron Chaffee, officiating. Interment will be later in the spring at the Enfield Town Cemetery. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., following the service.
