KENDUSKEAG – Gary Edward LaGasse, 69, passed away unexpectedly March 4, 2019 at his home in Kenduskeag. He was born on November 28, 1949 in Augusta, the son of William E. and Jeanette (Corbin) LaGasse.
Gary attended the University of Maine where he graduated with degrees in Marine Biology and Computer Science. He went on to spend 46 years working at the university’s Computer Science Department and became the Director of Software Development, supervising 3 managers and 20 developers. He was married to his partner of 40 years, Timothy G. Lane, who will remember him as a loving, kind and considerate husband and friend.
In addition to his husband, Gary is survived by his brothers, James, and William; and sister, Kathy, all of the Augusta area. He will be sadly missed by his feline friends, Ralph, Edna, and Kitty Carlisle; mini, Rasin, as well as by the goats, Sy and Apollo. Gary was predeceased by his parents and grandparents.
