BANGOR- Geneva Louise (Byron) Inman, 88, was called home by the Lord on March 29, 2021. She was born May 19, 1932 in Brownville Junction, the daughter of Leroy E. and Gertrude I. (Weller) Byron. She passed away peacefully with her daughters, Brenda, Carol, and her grandson, Bradford by her side.
In 1949 Geneva married Lewis B. Inman in Brownville Junction and 50 years later renewed their vows in the same Methodist Church, of which she was a lifelong member.
Geneva cherished time spent with family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and was known for her smiles and sharing stories. Over the years Geneva volunteered for many organizations, but known for her dedication of 18 years at Bangor’s YWCA as a lifeguard and aquatics instructor. Geneva was a recipient of the Jefferson Award for public service.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, Lewis; brother, Leroy Byron; sisters, Eleanor McKenzie and Elizabeth Hall.
Geneva is survived by her three daughters, Brenda Easley and her husband, John, Carol Bilotta and her husband, Robert, and Kathleen Gaudet; one granddaughter, Brenda Hanscom Bilotta and her husband, Ben; three grandsons, Bradford Bilotta and his wife, Ellen, Jonathan Gaudet, and William Easley; two great-grandchildren, Caden and Brynn; siblings, David Byron and Eva Beaudoin.
The family bestows their greatest gratitude to Marlene Walker and her staff at Total Care Solutions for their exceptional support given to Geneva.
A private burial will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
