Tom Bowden Iii

George “Tom” Thomas Bowden III, 76, passed away May 24th, 2019 peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born October 21st, 1942 in Providence RI, the son of George Thomas Bowden Jr and Olga Lindgren Bowden.
Tom graduated from Bar Harbor High school June 1st, 1960. After graduation, he worked at Merrill’s service station in Bar Harbor. In 1961, Tom married Jacqueline (Smith) Bowden. Tom also worked at Hinckley Boat, CE Wallace Plumbing and Heating, and MDI Service Corp. In 1985, Tom opened Bowden Heating Inc.
When Tom was not working his regular job, he could be found on Frenchman’s Bay lobstering. He had a love of fishing since the age of 12.
Tom was pre-deceased by his parents and one brother, Adrien Bowden.
Tom is survived by his loving wife Jackie of 57 years, son David and his wife, Melanie, daughters Julie Bowden Hall and husband, Robert and Elizabeth Bowden Murray. Seven grandchildren, Brittany (Hall) Tyner and her husband, Andy, Jonathan Hall, Nolan Hall, Spencer Bowden and his wife Cortney, Stetson Bowden, Morgan (Murray) Perez and her husband, Daniel and Michaela Murray. Five great grandchildren, Jack Tyner, William Tyner, Shane Bowden, Jackson Bowden, and Westin Sunday. Tom is also survived by his brother, Paul Bowden.
Graveside funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Seal Harbor Cemetery, Seal Harbor.
