Gerald E. Rogers

Gerald E. Rogers, 86, passed away March 21, 2019. He was born in Brewer, January 2, 1933, the youngest of nine sons of Harold Rogers and Helen (Merrick) Lowe. Gerald served in the US Army during the Korean War as a Pvt. 1st Class in the radio corp.
He worked many years in the sign industry, most at Bangor Neon Signs, and later going on his own, operating, Mr. Build It Signs. Gerald loved boating, antiques, animals, singing and dancing. His abilities ranged from construction to automobile repair and eagerly shared these skills with others. He was sensitive to the needy and would try to help in whatever capacity possible.
Surviving are two daughters, Paulla Draper and husband Peter of Mattapoisett, MA, and Linda Rogers and husband Jay Couet of Fairhaven, MA, and two grandsons, Joshua and Eric Desrosiers.
A service will be held at a time to be announced later the spring.
