Winterport – Geraldine “Gerry” Ruth (Patterson) Clark, 80, passed away August 18, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 18, 1940, in Winterport, the daughter of Thorton “Pat” and Ruth (Parks) Patterson.
Gerry was a lifelong resident of Winterport, with the exception of spending her high school years in Marysville, Michigan. She graduated in the class of 1958. In Marysville, she stayed with her loving Aunt Madeline “Lally” and Uncle, Al Jendrusina. She returned to her family in Maine and met a young man she would love dearly for 61 years. She and Joshua would be married on February 7, 1959. Together they lived, loved, and raised their family and built their lives around dairy farming on Goshen Road. She was Joshua’s greatest companion and together they were unmatched.
Gerry was a fabulous cook. Many family members and friends treasured her famous Saturday night baked bean suppers and her legendary homemade yeast rolls. Gerry would spend hot summer days at Uncle Don’s cottage in Cape Jellison with family, and would take late fall trips to the Town and Country Hotel in Conway, NH, with her husband. She enjoyed cookouts at home, picnics in the hay field, dancing, Sunday drives, and playing cards with family and friends. She was fond of gardening and was always canning for the upcoming winter months.
She was a devoted daughter, caring and supportive wife, a constructive teacher and a loving mother to her children and grandchildren. Geraldine was a beautiful soul. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Geraldine had many friends and family who she loved dearly. She was especially thankful for those who looked in on her and Joshua in their later years. She was very thankful that her daughter, Stephanie, devoted her life to personally care for both she and Joshua these last few years.
Gerry is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Ruth Worster and her husband, Michael; son, Lemuel Martin “Marty” Clark and wife, Kimberly Ann Clark; daughter, Sonja Ginn and her husband, Dale; widowed daughter-in-law, Judith Quimby Clark. Grandchildren include Kayla, Chad, Jessica, Andrew, Julia, Joshua, Ben, Brittany, Sherri, Shane; great-grandchildren include Courtney, Erin, Shaylee, Lacey, Simon, Danny, Kyle, and Ally; brothers, Robert Patterson and wife, Nancy, Vincent Patterson and his wife, Verna; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A mother leaves her mark on the world with the love she gives to her children and grandchildren. Our mother left an indelible mark.
