Geraldine Cyr

Geraldine (Hammond) Cyr passed away on July 4th, 2021 peacefully at home. She was born November 1st, 1928 in Bangor, Maine. The daughter of Gerald H. Hammond and Pauline (Granville) Hammond. She met her husband Lloyd R. Cyr on Dover Air Force Base. They were married August 1st, 1953. They loved to dance, and the jitterbug was her favorite!! In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Lloyd, her brother Granville T. Hammond, her daughter Debra Harrison and another love of her life Richard Boudway. Her surviving children are David and his wife Ellen of Cumberland, Debra’s widow Patricia Ray of Auburn, Michael and his wife Laurie of Bowdoin, Sandra and her husband Steve York of Hermon and Barbara and her husband Jerome Cyr of Bangor. She was devoted to her entire family but mostly enjoyed her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Geri, as she would like to be called, grew up in the Bangor area enjoying dancing, had a passion for Red Sox Baseball and spending time with her family and so many close friends. If you had the pleasure of knowing her, you were fortunate as she was one of kind!! She will be missed by so many!! The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 2021 at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings -Smith, 55 South Main St., Brewer the family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Reception Rooms, following the service.
