Gertrude C. Gosselin, 83, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born in Lewiston on January 7, 1941, the daughter of Arthur and Irene (Charest) Berube. She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1960 and married the love of her life, in May of 1961.
She was a homemaker and loved time spent with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and going to the ocean.
In addition to her parents, Gertrude was predeceased by her husband, Marcel; sister, Rita Trembley; brother; Wilfred Berube. She is survived by daughters, Marie-Anne Waddell and husband, Stephen, of Bangor, Monique Brooks of Bangor, Marlene Grover and husband, Charles Jr., of Eddington; son, Mark Gosselin and wife, Heather, of Orrington; grandsons, Garret and Dustin Brooks, Charles, Caleb (Jordan) Gover, Jaime Gosselin, and Kyle Kenney; great-grandchildren, Sadie and Remi Grover; brother, Ray Berube of Lewiston; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 5-7pm Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 South Main Street, Brewer. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 531 North Main Street, Brewer, on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 11am.
