Glenn M. Jackson, 79, passed away unexpectedly at his home on September 6, 2019. He was born August 1, 1940 in Camden, the son of Virgil and Lucia (Piscope) Jackson.
Glenn was in the real estate business for 50 years brokering many properties encompassing large tracks of woodland and recreational properties, commercial and ocean-front homes. He loved the work and the many wonderful customers that he met, many of whom became great repeat customers and friends.
Glenn loved to fly and owned several airplanes which he used in his real estate business.
He had a passion for life and family. Glenn was always learning, researching and interested in alternative healing.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his step-mother’s husband, Elmer “Woody” Wadsworth; brother, David Jackson; and brother-in-law, Gregory Smith.
Glenn is survived by his step-mother, who raised him, Pearl Jackson-Wadsworth; his wife of 38 years, Cynthia (Smith); daughter, Meghan Tkaczuk and her husband, Joe; granddaughter, Natalie Tkaczuk; brother, Thomas Jackson and his wife, Hillary; niece, Heidi Jackson; mother-in-law, Betty Jo Smith; father-in-law, Herschel Smith; sisters-in-law, Pam Coffey and her husband, Bill, Julie Hooker and her husband, Gail, Carol Yaeger and her husband, Andy, Taffy Smith, Jennifer Albertson and her husband, Charlie, Chrys Albertson and her husband, Chuck, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service will be held 10 am Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center Street, Bangor, following the service. Interment will be private for the family.
