HUDSON –
Gloria Nathalie (Robbins) Niles Anderson, 81, went to be with her Lord on August 7, 2013, after passing peacefully at a Bangor nursing facility. Gloria was born July 10, 1932, in Hudson, the daughter of Fred H. Robbins and Vera (Maunder) Robbins Chaples.
Gloria was top of her class, graduating with Valedictorian honors. She worked for 32 years selling Avon, while taking pride in her full time career of being a loving and devoted mother. Gloria was known for her Christian music ministry program, “Messages Through Music”, where she wrote and performed her original songs. She was an accomplished singer and songwriter, producing two albums: Singing His Praises and A Touch of Heaven. Gloria was an inspiration to all those that met her. She was an adoring mother to seven children, and a true blessing to all those who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Gloria was predeceased by her first husband, Frank Niles, and her second husband, Gerald Anderson. She is survived by her seven children, Carolyn Scott; Avis Seger, and her husband, Bub; Nathalie Ernst and her husband, Stephen; David Niles; Bettie Hanson; Stephen Niles and his wife, Judy; Lisa Niles and her husband, Duane; 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren; sisters, Mavis, Shirley and Lori; and her brother, Gene.
Gloria’s family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Westgate Manor for their support and loving care of Gloria during her last five years.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call 12 – 2 p.m., Friday, August 9, 2013 at Hudson Baptist Church, 2328 Hudson Road, Hudson, where a funeral service will be held directly following with Pastor James Davis, Pastor Garnett Chute and Rev. Russ Hartley officiating. Interment will be immediately following the service at Hudson Cemetery in Hudson. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Hudson Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, following the interment.
