Gloria (Andersen) Jenkins, 84, passed away December 26, 2016 at a Bangor health care facility, after a long illness. She was born in N.B., Canada, March 8, 1932, daughter of Gunner and Martha (Karlsen) Andersen.
Gloria was a former member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Bangor and the Veazie Congregational Church. She was an active member of the Veazie Garden Club. Gloria enjoyed decorating cakes for all occasions, for family and friends.
She was a loving, wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.
Surviving are a sister, Sonja Taylor; a brother, James Andersen; two sons, John Jenkins and his wife, Sally; Gerald C. Jenkins; grandchildren, James A. Jenkins, Mark A. Jenkins, Ashley M. Gaylor, Kimberly A. Malik, Jeremy M. Heath and Joshua P. Heath; great grandchildren, Johnathon, Madison, Remington, Calvin and Abigail; nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
Gloria was predeceased by her husband, James, January 3, 2016.
Relatives and friends are invited to call 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor.
