Gloria J. Nile, best Nana ever, died April 16, 2014 after a brief and difficult battle with cancer. She was born July 16, 1943 in Millinocket to Lillian Swenson.
Gloria was a stay-at-home mother, wife and homemaker. She enjoyed playing games, gardening, canning her vegetables and making crafts, as well as spending time with her family whom she loved dearly.
Gloria was predeceased by her loving husband of 46 years, Calvin Nile and her daughter, Vennessa Buckley. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Robertson and her husband, Ron Frost of Newburgh; daughter, May Brown of Eddington; and son, Chris Nile and his wife Jacki of Eddington; as well as 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at a later date in spring at the Corinthian Cemetery in Corinth. Those who wish to remember Gloria in a special way may make gifts in her memory care of Jacki Nile, 173 Stoney Ridge Road, Eddington, ME 04428.
