Gregory A. "Greg" Thayer

August 20, 1952 — April 15, 2023

Hudson - Gregory A. "Greg" Thayer, 70, died at home on April 15, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was born August 20, 1952, in Bangor, the son of Charles and Charlene (Lindsey) Thayer.

Greg was a hard worker and a skilled carpenter. He enjoyed both freshwater and saltwater fishing in his free time along with spending time with his family, cooking on the grill and being outside. He and Darlene never missed a family gathering.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Darlene (Brasslett) Thayer, are his daughter, Julie Thayer, of Bangor;stepdaughter, Shawna Milano, of Riverview, Florida; grandchildren, Emma Thayer, of Bangor; and Isaiah and Christian Tirado, both of Florida: brother, Gary Thayer, and his wife, Sue, of Florida; sister, Cheryl (Thayer) Curry and her husband, Greg, of Hermon; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Greg was predeceased by his parents and by his cousin and best friend, Frank Thayer.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Greg’s special friend and Pastor Brad Cozad. A memorial service will be held at the Hudson Baptist Church, 11a.m., Saturday, April 22, 2023, where friends and family are invited to share refreshments and conversation following the service. Interment will be at Mohawk Cemetery, Hudson.
