Gyrth M. Rutan, 34, died unexpectedly August 9, 2018, in Maine. He was born October 2, 1983, in Bangor, the son of Michael Rutan-Heningham and Alison (Little) Rutan.
Gyrth worked for the Bangor Parks and Recreation Department for many years before moving to Massachusetts and becoming a member of the I.B.E.W. Local #42. He was a devoted father, steadfast son, brother and friend, remembered by all who knew him for his dedication to his daughter and his quirky sense of humor.
He is survived by his daughter, Quara Rutan; father, Michael Rutan-Heningham and wife Carrie of Ware, MA; mother, Alison Rutan and fiancé’ Steven French of Dedham; a sister, Ingrid Lake and husband Benjamin of San Diego, CA; brothers, Cpt. Sean Rutan-Heningham and wife Kirsten of Fort Huachuca, AZ; Brennan Rutan-Heningham of Atascadero, CA; nephews, Grady, Aidan and Lennox Lake.
Relatives and friends may call from 5-7 PM, Friday, August 24, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor. A graveside funeral service will be held 11 AM, Saturday, August 25, at Mt.
