Harold O. Adams

Harold Omar Adams, 76, passed away unexpectedly August 10, 2023 at his home. He was born in Bangor, March 1, 1947 the son of Omar G. and Shirley M. (Pullen) Adams.
Harold served his country in the 82nd Airborne and 101st Airborne during Vietnam, and the 101st Security Police Squadron at the Bangor ANG base where he retired from service.
After his retirement he worked for the City of Bangor Airport maintenance, plowing.
He enjoyed wood-working, and morning coffee with the local coffee crew.
Harold was a member of Kenduskeag Masonic Lodge #137, Maine Consistory 32nd Degree Valleys of Bangor and Portland and Anah Shrine and a member of the Provost Guard.
Harold was predeceased by a son, Omar Adams, Jr.; brothers, Peter and Gary Adams; sisters, Gloria McAvoy, Debbie Roach, Beverly Millett and Verna Adams; his first wife and mother of his children, Ethel Adams.
Surviving are his wife, Susan of Levant; son, Michael Adams and wife, Carla of Charleston, S.C.; daughter, Michelle Mitchell and husband, Travis of Medford; three stepchildren, Wallace Ransom of Fredericksburg, VA., Missi Ransom of Bradley and Jami Ransom of Levant; grandchildren, Carissa, Cory, Ryan, Jonathon, Monica, Cole, Chad, Cody, Dylan, Ethan, Kyla, Kena, Renee and Jayson; many great grandchildren; brothers, Galen Adams and wife, Nancy, David Adams and wife, Marie; sisters, Joyce Allard and husband, Dennis, Abby Taggart and husband Chris, Carolyn Obar and husband Izzy Bisaillon; many, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral and masonic service will be held 1:00 pm. Friday, August 18, 2023 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Keith Cousins and the officers and members of Kenduskeag Masonic Lodge, officiating . Relatives and friends are invited to call 12:00 pm until time of service. Interment with military honors will follow at Waugh Cemetery, Levant.
The family invites all, to the Kenduskeag Lodge, 14 Center St .for conversation and refreshments, following the services.
