DIXMONT- Harold Daniel Nason, 87 passed away peacefully after a brief illness at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Bangor. He was born March 13, 1936 in Brooks, Maine the son of, Daniel and Gertrude (Gould) Nason.
Harold started Harold’s Logging Supplies in 1976 and worked tirelessly to build the business and provide for his family. He dearly loved calling on his customers in the woods.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brothers, Howard, and Harvard Nason; brother-in-law, Bob Willey.
Harold is survived by his wife of 65 years, Shirley (Leighton) Nason; two sons, Randall Nason and his wife, Sandra and Wayne Nason and his wife, Colleen; three grandchildren that he adored, Jessica and her husband, Toby, Danielle and her husband, Miles, Nicholas and his companion, Jackie; two very special great-granddaughters, Aria and Rua; sister, Barbara Willey; several nieces and nephews; special cousin, Linda Clark; brother-in-law, Gary Leighton and his wife, Winona.
Harold will be missed by many folks at Hollywood Casinos, his favorite pastime.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Lauer, Dr. Rao, and the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital, who treated Harold with great kindness.
