Hope Estelle Eisentrager

BANGOR - Hope Estelle Eisentrager passed away Aug. 7, 2019. She was born June 21, 1926, to Nathan and Fanny Kendall. Hope was mother to Peggy LaGrange of Northport, Fla., and John W. Eisentrager Jr. of Hermon, ME.
Hope graduated from Bangor High School in 1945, and went on to marry John W. Eisentrager Sr. at Dow Field Chapel on Dec. 3, 1948. John and Hope traveled the world with the Air Force and decided to retire to Maine in 1966 and raise their family. Hope retired from the Bangor School System as a cafeteria manager in the hot lunch program, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, bowling, cooking, crafts and her daytime stories. A funeral service will be held 1 pm Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Dr. Rex Garrett officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor, immediately following the funeral service. The family invites relatives and friends to share in conversation and refreshments at Seasons Restaurant, 427 Main St., Bangor.
