Hampden - Hubert (Hugh) Groody died after a brief illness on November 16, 2022, at a Bangor hospital at age 87. He was born in Brooklyn, New York.
Hugh is survived by his wife, Shirley (Watson); his five children, Hubert Jr., Debra (Curier), Steve, Barbie, and Susie; close family friends, Paula Anderson and John Dragon. He was predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Dorothy Groody, and his daughter Charlotte.
He will be buried with military honors on December 2, 2022 at the Maine Veterans Cemetery, Augusta.
