HERMON - Irene E. Robinson, 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones May 2, 2024. She was born February 24, 1940, in Glenburn, Maine, the daughter of the late Oral and Lucy (Pomeroy) Mayhew.
Irene was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her son, Robert Snow; granddaughter, Trinity Snow and her partner, Dustyn and their son, Jaxon, granddaughter, Danika Dewitt and her husband, Ethan, and their daughter, Oaklynn; very special grandchildren; a special sister, Eleanor and her husband, Dennis Murphy; sisters-in-law, Brenda Mayhew and Jeannie Mayhew and many loved nieces and nephews. Irene was predeceased by her husband, Charles; daughter-in-law, Loretta, and brothers, Andrew and Leroy.
The name Irene means peace, she was extremely loving and thoughtful. Her actions were always for others which showed in her work and family time. If you knew Irene you were blessed; she was a lady to treasure.
A funeral service for Irene will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 13, 2024, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center, 163 Center St., Bangor, immediately following the service. Interment will be in Birch Grove Cemetery, Glenburn, following the reception. Condolences to the family may be expressed at BrookingsSmith.com.
