Irene Savage

May 11, 1963 — January 27, 2023

LINCOLN – Irene Dee Savage, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 27th 2023 at Lincoln’s Penobscot Valley Hospital. She was born May 11, 1963 to Samuel and Georganna (Archer) Coney in Southern Maine.

She moved to Lincoln with her sister, Carlene, at a very young age. She made Lincoln her forever home and better for everyone that she met.

Irene was the kindest, most generous, loving, and devoted wife to her Husband, William Savage of almost 39 years and mother to their daughter, Crystal Savage.

She was loved and will forever be remembered and missed by those that had the opportunity to spend time with her. She touched the lives and hearts of family, friends, and the extended family in the Lord at the Full Gospel Tabernacle. She was an amazing Sunday School Teacher and loved that she could share her love for God with everyone, especially children. She did it in voice, but also in every kindness and action. She was generous with her time and resources. She was proud to be a prayer warrior.

Irene was honest and kind. She was a calming influence in the family and always believed in the very best of people. Slow to judge, slower to anger. She relished moments of being funny. She had a sassy smile of satisfaction when she made you laugh. “Oh, Auntie!” She was authentic - you always knew where you stood with her. We all felt that Irene was in our corner and rooting for us. That is precious in today’s world. Without her here, the world will be less. Irene was preceded in death by her mother, father and sisters Carlene and Iris. She is survived by her daughter Crystal; her loving husband William; her brothers Sam and Danny; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and church family who loved her so very much. The family wants to share that we know that she will be deeply missed by her dear friend and sister in God that she adored, Dianne Taylor.

Today as you are thinking of her, share your walk with God, pay someone a compliment, be kind, relish a moment of love and laughter to remember her by.

In lieu of flowers Irene would have loved you to make a donation to the Full Gospel Tabernacle to benefit the Sunday School program. She would be honored even now, in her memory, she is helping those that she loved.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call at 1PM on Thursday, February 2nd, 2023 at the Full Gospel Tabernacle, 14 Fleming Street, Lincoln, where a funeral service will be held with Brother Tony Stewart, officiating.
The family invites friends and relatives to share conversation and refreshments in the gathering room of Full Gospel Tabernacle following the service. Interment will be announced at a later date.
