Bangor - Jacquelin A. “Jackie” LaFlamme, 91, died peacefully on March 7, 2021 at a local nursing home. She was born on December 29, 1929, in Bangor, ME, the daughter of H. Warren and Myrtle C. (Sheehan) Maddocks.
Jackie graduated from Presque Isle High School and went on to become an LPN. She moved to Iowa for a few years and returned to Bangor, Maine, with her son in 1959. There she met her husband, Robert L. LaFlamme. They had been married 62 years at the time of her passing. She was an active member of the O.E.S. for decades, she was a member of Sarah Orne Jewett #176, in South Berwick, and the Tuscan chapter #148, in Bangor. She was an honorary member of dozens more, and served as Worthy Grand Matron for the State of Maine.
Jackie is survived by her husband, Bob LaFlamme; her son, Rob LaFlamme and his partner, Sheila; her nephews, Albert Hall IV and his wife, Barbara, Rand Hall and his wife, Jan, and Christian Hall; and her cousin, Gardiner Chamberlain and his wife, Shirley. She was predeceased by her sister, Caroline Miller. Nothing was more important to Jackie than her family and she will be dearly remembered.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2021, at the First United Methodist Church, 703 Essex St. in Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Brookings-Smith Family Reception Center, 163 Center St., following the service.
