Hampden – James Allen Cimpher, 52, died at home surrounded by his loving family, Saturday, February 14, 2015. He was born May 26, 1962, in Bangor, he son of Linda Hersey Perkins.
Jim graduated from Brewer High School, class of 1980. Following high graduation he served with the U. S. Army. Later, Jim was self-employed in the construction industry. He loved to go trapping, and received many awards for his furs. He also had a great love for fishing and for the great outdoors. He spent a lot of time with his long time friend, Randi Gallagher, going to flea markets, auctions, and looking for antiques. Jim thoroughly enjoyed helping others in need.
Jim is survived by his son, Bradley, whom he loved dearly and had great pride; mother, Linda Perkins; sister Catherine Cimpher Jenkins of Saco; brother Michael Cimpher of Dorchester, Massachusetts; and Kelly Cimpher Krouse, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 10 am, Thursday, February 19, 2005 at the Hampden-Gilpatrick Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 45 Western Ave., Hampden. Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery in Cherryfield, in the spring. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.BrookingsSmith.com
