Bangor

James (JC) Jeffrey Corey- was joined once again with his love Kristi Sickles on Friday, January 24, 2025. JC born July 2, 1952, was the oldest of 6 kids born to Peanut and Lorraine Corey.

Thanks to the complete dedication of his stepdaughter Morgan Sickles and her fiancé Adam Toner, step granddaughters Bailey and Britney Toner and many of Morgan's best friends, JC was able to live in the home he shared with Kristi after her passing, and that meant the world to him.

As his health worsened, and with the help of the wonderful staff and nurses of St. Joseph's Hospice Care, he was able to be in his own home, in his own bed, with his loving family by his side. James had many visitors from loving friends the night before he passed and was able to hear many calls from family who could not be there in person. We could tell that he heard everyone by the facial gestures he would make, even giving a small smile at times. We know this was real by the grimace he gave us when we teased that he was a Patriots fan! We all know that he was a huge Giants fan. He was a huge fan of all sports and especially loved the Red Sox, Celtics and Bruins. JC also had a love for music that spanned decades. He enjoyed watching replays of concerts and would jam out if there weren't sports on.

JC worked hard all his life mainly in Aroostook County, farming potatoes. There was nothing, it seemed, that he did not know about processing potatoes, and he shared a lot of stories with everyone and anyone who would listen.

Being the oldest of 6, he was a great big brother to all, especially to his sister Betty to whom he was like a second father. Over the last couple of years, he was able to develop deeper relationships with Betty and his brother Mike, which he cherished.

Along with his stepdaughter Morgan and her fiancé Adam, JC is survived by his daughter Cindy and her husband Gene Hatch, daughter Jay Cee Feeley and her fiancé Robert Curcio, son Scott Corey, wife Victoria and grandchildren Chase, Ty and Trey. Brothers Robert Corey and his wife Jean, Michael Corey and his partner Tina, sister Betty Cameron and her husband Patrick. Many beloved nieces and nephews and very good friends.

JC was predeceased by his love Kristi Stickles, his parents Peanut and Lorraine Corey, brother Duane Corey and nephew William Cameron.

JC was a larger-than-life character and will leave a huge hole in many lives. He will be missed, and he is so loved.

There will be a celebration of life this summer in Aroostook County.
