James A. Leach, 83, died September 20, 2015, after a brief illness. Born in Penobscot July 27, 1932, son of Earl and Nina (Grindle) Leach.
He was a successful business owner in CT. for many years, relocating to Maine in the 70’s, and working as a machinist in the shoe industry, as well as being a successful craftsman and owner of Fine Pine Designs.
Surviving are his wife, Linda (Gallant) Leach ; children, Robert Leach, James Leach, Suzanne Leach Del Rio, Kelly Wilson, Teresa Burgess, Dawn Ravan; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2015 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, 207 York St., Bangor, followed by the Rite of Committal at Mt. Pleasant Catholic Cemetery. The family invites folks to share conversation and refreshments in the parish hall of the church, following the services. In remembrance of Jim and in support of his family, donations may be sent to Linda Leach, 327 Ohio St., Bangor, ME 04401.
