James (Jim) McInnis, 66, Died unexpectedly May 24, 2022, in his home in Bangor Maine. He was born August 31, 1955, in Bangor Maine, the son of James McInnis Sr., and Alice (Trimm) McInnis.
Jim was a graduate of John Bapst Memorial High School, where after he passed the federal postal service exam, and committed the next 38 years of his life to a successful career in the United States Postal Service, ending his tenure as postmaster at the Milford Post office.
Jim was a supportive and loving father, a devoted husband, and treated everyone around him with kindness and respect. He was an avid golfer who loved bowling and playing softball in his younger years. He was a member of the Elks Club where he enjoyed shooting pool, playing cards, and socializing with friends. It was rare to see Jim without a smile on his face, and his joy and positive outlook on life were infectious. Jim is survived by his wife, Debra (Stevenson) McInnis, and son, Cody McInnis. He will be dearly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to call 5 pm to 7 pm Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Brookings-Smith, 133 center St., Bangor, where a service will be held 2 pm Thursday June 2, 2022. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., following the service.
