With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved son, James Michael Nason who left us on February 10, 2025. He was born in Winterport, December 25, 1987. He was the shining light of our lives and lived his life as a kind, thoughtful, loving and generous soul.

James grew up in Winterport with his family and friends and graduated from Hampden Academy. He was a hard worker and enjoyed working at Rawcliffs Service Center in Hampden. His passion for kindness and love was evident in his love for his two black cats, Glizzy and Nina. James enjoyed spending time at camp on Spectacle Pond with his family fishing, hiking and target practicing. He was a firearms aficionado and avid collector. Every season James was a big part of getting the crops and harvesting at his brother, Matthews-Nason Family Farms in Prospect.

James leaves behind his mother, Claudette Ellingwood Nason, father, David Lee Nason and brother, Matthew Nason; many aunts and uncles, David and Kathy Ellingwood of Winterport, Jim and Judi Bither of Millinocket, Karen Bunker of Orrington, Frank and Sally Flewelling of Winterport, Sandra Nason of Carmel, Donna Nason of Northport, Susan Tolman of Florida; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents, David and Marjorie Ellingwood and Myron and Luena Nason; along with his uncles, John Nason and Peter Nason.

A graveside service and celebration of his life will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Winterport in the spring.

James will forever be in our hearts.
