Jane Dickson, RN. 87, passed away peacefully, January 15, 2021 at home with her family. She was born in Bangor November 20, 1933, the daughter of Leroy W. and Florence E. (Burns) Cole.
Jane was a well -respected charge nurse with a notable presence on the oncology floor at EMMC for many years.
In her free time, she enjoyed with her sister, Barbara, shopping, day trips along the coast and antique hunting. Jane loved to knit, especially mittens for her boys and they would critique the mittens for their snowball making abilities. She enjoyed watching baseball regardless of the team.
Surviving are her four boys, David Dickson and his wife, Linda, Jim Dickson and his wife, Kim, Robert Dickson, and Mark Dickson; grandchildren, Lauren, Evan, Jennifer, Cameron, Benjamin and Alayna; sister, Patricia Cole; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Joan Pederson and Barbara Smith.
The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments 1 pm to 3 pm Friday, January 22, 2021 at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 159 Center St. Bangor, where a prayer service to celebrate her life will be held at 2 pm. with the Rev. Jean White Hassler, officiating.
