Jane Harriman
GLENBURN and BREWER -
Jane Harriman, 82, passed away September 25, 2013. She was born in Millinocket, the daughter of Keith and Charlotte (Fling) Dickinson.
Jane and her late husband, Don owned and operated the very popular Stardust Lounge in Brewer during the 1960’s and early 1970’s. In addition, Jane worked for many years for Dr. Daniel McCarthy, which she enjoyed greatly. For the past 15 years, she was a dedicated volunteer at Eastern Maine Medical Center, delivering mail and flowers, and crocheting over a hundred afghans for rehab patients, which earned her pin for 9000 hours of volunteer service. Jane especially enjoyed Saturday afternoon lunch and shopping trips with her daughter-in-law, Cathy.
In addition to her parents, Jane was predeceased by her husband of more than 50 years, Donald. She is survived by their four sons, Wayne Harriman and his wife, Dorrie, of Brewer; Donald Harriman of Bangor; Ronald Harriman and his wife, Catherine, of Brewer; Alan Harriman and his wife, Rochelle, of Glenburn; 12 grandchildren, Brian and Tami Harriman, Eric and Heather Harriman, Jennifer and Jeffrey Thibodeau, Benjamin Harriman, Lindsey and Kiernan McMorrow, Dana Harriman, Alexandra Harriman, Paul and Alicia Harriman, Shawna, Diana, Katelyn and Meaghan Harriman; and 8 great grandchildren.
The family is very grateful to Al and Rochelle and the girls for their two years of exceptional care-giving to Mom/Nana.
The family invites relatives and friends to call 6-8 PM, Friday, September 27, 2013, at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 South Main Street, Brewer.
