Jane Small, known as Jany to those she was close to, passed away peacefully at her home on September 20, 2022.
Jany spent her life enjoying time with her children, she loved being a mother and her kids will tell you they have the “Best memories” of their mother. Jany went onto to get her CRMA certification, and worked at Ross Manor starting in 1991 until the time of her passing. Jany met her husband, Vernon Small, in 2004. Jany and Vern enjoyed traveling, laughter and each other’s company.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, Vernon Small, are her son, Jason Johnston and his wife, Suzette Johnston of Bangor, her daughter, Tiffany Johnston of Bangor; Kelly Harding, family friend, of Bangor, her brother, Doug Plaumann and his wife, Annette, of Holden, her brother, Richard Plaumann; 3 grandchildren, Bryce, Colby and Kaylee Johnston, all of Bangor. Jany was predeceased by her mother, Connie Avery and her step-father, Maurice Avery.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a graveside service 4pm, Friday September 30, 2022, at Harts Corner Cemetery, Main Road, Holden. Following the service, the family invites relatives and friends to a celebration of life at the Mansion Church, 96 Center Street, Bangor, ME from 5pm to 8pm.
