Jane A. Wilbur, 80, passed away June 13, 2019, at a Bangor healthcare facility surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born October 19, 1938, in Perry, the daughter of Alfred and Edith (Adams) Wilbur.
Jane graduated from Shead High School, Eastport, in the Class of 1956. She went on to attend Beal College and received her diploma in accounting. Jane worked for many years as a bookkeeper at Eastern Auto Sales in Bangor and for Webber Oil Company. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Brewer and Eagles Club in Brewer. Jane enjoyed her friends with the Red Hatters. She enjoyed camping and traveling. Those who knew Jane will remember her subtle, yet witty sense of humor.
She is survived by a sister, Rachel Suminski of Arizona; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; a dear friend, Mickey Smith; and cousin, Jeane Dow. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Reid Wilbur; and sisters, Janet Wilbur, and Nancy Ashe.
A Service of Remembrance will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor. Interment will be in the family lot in Perry.
