LAGRANGE - Janet A. Smith, 85, beloved wife of Robert “Bob” Smith for 68 years, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 1, 2024. She was born in Milo, Maine on July 4, 1938, the daughter of John and Bessie (Russell) Freese.
Janet and Bob made their home in Derby and in later years, LaGrange. She is survived by five children, Nancy (Herbie), Gordon (Carol) Linda (Rob), Julie (Carl), Greg (Dina); six grandchildren, Eric, Adam, Jason (Rosie), Nick (McKayla), Jodi, Allison (Justin) and five great grandchildren; Hunter, Autumn, Chase, Annalise and Jesse. Janet also leaves behind a brother, Duane (Wanda); brother-in-law, Douglas (Priscilla); sister-in-law, Jean, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Rodney; granddaughter, Kristie, and two siblings, Jane and Dale.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Bradford Baptist Church, 461 Main Rd, Bradford, Maine on June 18 at 1:00 for her service, officiated by Pastor Don Booker.
