Janetta R. Lowder

CARMEL - Janetta Lowder, 83, passed away June 8, 2021. She was born December 2, 1937 in Holden, the daughter of Albert J. and Margaret (Berry) Cammack.

Janetta attended Bangor schools. She married Eddie H. Lowder in November of 1955 and spent many years traveling the world as part of his military service until they retired in Brewer in 1975.

She enjoyed following her grandchildren’s many activities and the many trips they made to Disneyworld. She volunteered for many years in the Residential Care Unit at the Maine Veterans’ Home in Bangor.

In addition to her parents, Janetta was predeceased by her husband, Eddie; infant daughter, Tammy Lynn; brothers, Donald Cammack, Ralph “Sonny” Cammack, Michael Cammack and sisters, Donna “Joan” Sanders, Marlene Ellingwood and Paula Crawford.

She is survived by her son, Eddie H. Lowder Jr.; daughters, Cynthia Fahey and husband, John, Susan Eldridge and husband, Mark, Melinda Wood and fiancé, Scott Subjoc; six grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Amanda Wooden and her husband, Ben, Alexandra Fahey, Brandy Kelly and her husband, Chad, Mark Eldridge, Rebecca Wood and Emily Wood; brother, Gary Cammack and sister, Susan Bartley.

For the past 15 years Janetta has had a special relationship with Charles Eames who has lovingly been by her side until the time of her passing.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5-7 pm Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, June 18, 2021 at the Clewleyville Cemetery, Holden. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center Street, Bangor following the interment.
