CLIFTON – Jean M. Campbell, more affectionately known as “Nana” or, “Nana 2”, 86, passed away January 2, 2021, at her home in Clifton. She was born April 15, 1934, in Stratford, New Hampshire, the daughter of Earl C. and Della O. (Curtis) McMann.
Jean graduated from Stratford High School, Class of 1952. In 1968, she married Vernon W. Campbell. They enjoyed 52 years of marriage. Jean was an avid member of the Log Cabin Quilters of Anchorage, Alaska, the Bear Paws Quilters of Maine, the Ladies Extension, and the Clifton Historical Society.
Jean was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She always greeted everyone with her beautiful smile. She was also an exceptional quilter and master in knitting. She was a willing volunteer for many organizations and clubs. She was a woman of great faith.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by 2 brothers, George and Harlan McMann; sister, Joyce McMann; and granddaughter, Michelle Girard. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Louise Lurvey and her husband, Bubba, of Manchester, New Hampshire, Jean Girard and her husband, Arbie, of Clifton; Sons, Andrew Campbell and his wife, Lorraine, of Anchorage, Alaska, Tony Campbell and his wife, Gail, of Wasilla, Alaska; sister, Joan LaPointe, of Whitefield, New Hampshire; brother, Wayne McMann, of Concord, New Hampshire; grandchildren, Jennifer Bruce, and her husband, Jim, Amy Hein and her husband, Kris, Jason Girard and his wife, Nicole, Jessica Jones, Mariah Jones, Christopher Campbell, Nicholas Campbell, Jaylen Campbell, Jordan Campbell, Kody Campbell; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a special niece, Lynda Coyle, of Duncan, South Carolina.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the late spring or early summer of 2021. Those who wish to remember Jean in a special way may make gifts to the Clifton United Baptist Church, 742 Airline Rd., Clifton, ME 04428.
