HERMON - Jean Carol (Pinkham) Pearson, 85, passed away December 2, 2023, at a Bangor hospital in the presence of family. She was born October 13 1938, in Bangor, the daughter of Roger and Norma (Miller) Pinkham.
Jean was a life-long resident of the town of Hermon, and graduate of Hermon High School, Class of 1957. After high school, she married Danny Pearson Sr., of Brewer. Together, in 1965, they started DA Pearson Heating Oils.
Jean enjoyed many hobbies, including her passion for sewing clothes for herself and family. She loved to cook and bake. Always made sure she had extra for all the neighborhood children. She loved to dance to her country music and enjoyed following the bluegrass and county Jams across the state. She made many memories traveling, including trips to Spain, Ireland, time in Florida, and many other places with her bowling league. Jean loved the time she spent with her grandchildren. In high school she joined the Theta Rho Girls, after graduation she joined the Eastern Star Rebekah Lodge #36 in Hermon. She served many positions, including Past Nobel Grand, past District Deputy, and President Staff of the Rebekahs Assemble of Maine many times.
Jean is survived by her brother, Alan Pinkham and his wife, Candy; sons, Danny Jr. and his wife, Rose, Kenny and his partner, Charlene Rideout, and Michael and his wife, Lysa; grandchildren, Amanda, Brittany, Kylie, Drew, Cody, Lisa, Dylan, Derek, Megan and Andrew; several great-grandchildren; and special nieces, Emily Fisher and Carrie Pinkham. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Danny Pearson Sr.; son, Lewis Pearson, great-grandson, Luke Baldwin; and her special friend, Charles Sheridan AKA “Lefty Dean”.
A Celebration of Jean’s Life will be held 2-4 p.m., Saturday, December 9, 2023, at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor. Condolences to the family may be expressed at BrookingsSmith.com.
