Jeanne Hammond

Brewer - Jeanne Ann (Robbins) Hammond, 95, died at her home on February 20, 2025. She was born on August 5, 1929, in Brewer, the daughter of Clyde M. and Dorothy M. (Pelletier) Robbins.

She grew up in Brewer and graduated from Brewer High School Class of 1948. Jeanne worked at the Eastern Trust and Banking company, rising to Assistant Treasurer.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Earl Glidden; husband, Granville "Tom" Hammond; brother, Bernard Robbins and his wife, Geraldine; sisters, Marilyn Blethen and her husband, Seldon, and Mary Jane Wedin; brothers-in-law, Roland Andrews and Bud Allen; five nephews.

Jeanne is survived by three sisters, Jacqueline Tower and her husband, Paul, Dorothy Andrews, and Anne Allen; brother, J. Stephen Robbins and his wife, Marta; children, Bonita Weeks and her husband, Dennis, Cathy Hammond, and Jeffrey Hammond; Jeanne's grandchildren, Matthew Weeks and his fiancé, Mel, Tyler Weeks, Stephanie Sherburne, and Joseph Hammond; many nieces and nephews.

The family extends sincere gratitude to Jeanne's children for their love and care.

Jeanne's children wanted everyone to know how much they loved and appreciated her for all the care she gave to their father Tom.

A graveside service will be held 1 pm Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Woodlawn Cemetery, North Main St., Brewer.
