GLENBURN - Jeffrey S. Dyer, 66, passed away after a courageous battle with lung cancer May 15, 2016, surrounded by his family. He was born April 11, 1950, in Bangor to Kathleen Glines Dyer and Clarence B. Dyer.
Jeff graduated from Bangor High School in 1968. Jeff enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard and sailed on the 'Bibb' out of Boston,MA. He worked many years at Bangor Public Works.
Jeff enjoyed snowmobiling, four wheeling, hunting, fishing, and tinkering on anything mechanical. He enjoyed spending time with his 'buddies' at hunting camps and Pushaw Lake. Jeff spent time at Abol Campground with his wife Susan, family, and special friends. Family gatherings at the Dyer's on Fairfax St. were cherished.
Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Susan MacLeod Dyer; daughter, Jodie Lee Dyer of Hampden; mother, Kathleen "Cassie" "Katie" Glines Dyer of Bangor; siblings, Valerie Dawn and husband Paul Dionne of Sanford; sister, Gretchen Dyer-Gagnon and husband Daniel of Holden; and several nieces and nephews. Jeffrey was predeceased by his father, Clarence B. Dyer and brother, David B.Dyer.
Upon request there will be no formal service or public viewing. A Celebration of Life will be planned for the future.
