Jeffrey A. Roderick, 56
KENDUSKEAG, Maine – Jeffrey A. Roderick, 56, a longtime former resident of New Gloucester, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 27, 2022. He was born in Waterville on Jan. 5, 1966, the son of Raymond Roderick and Wendy (Sweet) Works and attended Lawrence High School in Fairfield.
Jeff was a mechanic by trade, but he wasn’t just any mechanic. There wasn’t a motor that Jeff couldn’t fix. In addition, Jeff was always willing to help anyone who needed help repairing anything that ran. His skills stretched from cars, to boats, to motorcycles and dirt bikes. He even traveled the East Coast as a professional motocross mechanic. Currently, he was employed by Radio Communications Management, Inc., as a manager of their Brewer office. This wasn’t just a job for Jeff; this was a career that allowed him to work closely with his long-time friends, using the skills he had developed over a lifetime.
In his free time, Jeff enjoyed riding his beloved Harley Davidson motorcycle with his wife of 30 years and partner-in-crime, Sue. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with friends and family, especially his granddaughters, Emma and Isabelle. Jeff was a member of the Old Man’s Wakeboarding Club, an exclusive group of men 40+ who had decided that they would conquer wakeboarding at any cost. Jeff achieved this goal with minimal injury. He also sometimes liked to be referred to as “Chef Jeff.”
In addition to his father Raymond Roderick, Jeff is survived by his wife, Suzanne Roderick; children, Kayla Henderson, Zachary and wife Olivia Roderick, and Jenna Roderick; two granddaughters, Emma Roderick and Isabelle Caiazzo; a sister, Melissa Nason; and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Wendy in 2011 and brother, Kevin Roderick in 2016.
