Jennifer Sewell, 45, died December 29, 2018, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She fought a long, courageous battle with breast cancer, never letting her illness interfere in her life or slow her down.
Jenny graduated from Husson University with her bachelor’s degree in accounting. She worked for Community Health & Counseling for the last 25 years, starting in Lincoln before transferring to the Bangor office. She worked with an amazing group of people at CHCS who supported her through her illness, which allowed her to continue to work for so many years after her diagnosis.
Jenny leaves behind her loving parents, Dennis & Gaynor Sewell of Bangor; two sisters Rochelle Daigle and husband Mike of Las Vegas, NV and Megan Drillen and husband Charlie of Dedham; two brothers, Robert Wright and fiancée Meaghan of Alton, Josh Desmarais and fiancée Riana of Auburn; three nieces and two nephews Noelle Daigle of Las Vegas, NV, Kairi and Hailee Wright of Alton and Ethan and Logan Drillen of Dedham; her boyfriend James Ricker who stayed by her side until the end. She was fortunate to be loved by many supportive family members and friends as well.
Jenny was truly an inspiration to her family and friends. Her strength and perseverance through such a difficult illness amazed us all. She will be greatly missed.
The family invites relatives and friends to celebrate Jenny’s life and share conversation and refreshments 2-4 pm. Sunday January 6, 2018 at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor.
