BANGOR - Jerry E “Moose” Moores Sr., 56, died peacefully December 4, 2018 at a Bangor nursing facility. He was born June 22, 1962, in Lubec.
Jerry attended Lubec High School. He then worked as a deckhand, in the fish factories downeast, and as a truck driver. Jerry had a strong love for Christmas and being Santa Claus. He also loved putting models together and going fishing. You could always find him making others happy and putting a smile on anybody's face!
Jerry was predeceased by his sister, Allison. He is survived by his sons, Deven Flynn of Kenduskeag, Jerry Moores Jr. of Eastport, and Michael Moores of Machias; a daughter, Deanna Moores of New Hampshire; two grandkids he loved dearly, Jacob and Amelia Flynn, and one other on the way; siblings, Brian Moores and wife, Kim of Lubec, Linda Moores, Benny Moores of Florida, Larry Featherson of Oklahoma Stephen Dunham of Connecticut; and many nieces and nephews.
