Joan Ayer, 82, died December 18, 2015 at a Bangor health care center. She was born July 26, 1933, daughter of Fred W. and Hildred (Avery) Patterson.
Joan was employed for many years with AT&T.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Ayer and two brothers, Ralph and Fred Patterson.
Surviving are, her son, Stephen Ayer.
A graveside service will be held at a time to be announced in the spring at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer.
