Joan Cunningham

Bangor and Bayside - Joan Sheehan Cunningham, 77, passed away, May 31, 2015 at a local health care facility. She was born September 19, 1937 in Bangor the daughter of Captain Edward D. and Evelyn M. (Arey) Sheehan. Joan graduated from John Bapst High School in 1955, and went to work for New England telephone for thirty years. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and the Telephone Pioneers of America. Joan was an avid swimmer and was known for her love animals. She is survived by several cousins. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a brother, Alfred Sheehan; and a life time friend Nathan Weinstein. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, 207 York Street, Bangor on June 12, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. followed by the Rite of Committal at Mt.
