Joanne Tracey

Joanne J. Tracey, a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother passed away in her home with her family by her side on 2/16/2022. She was born in Edmundston, New Brunswick to Oniel and Yvette Soucy. She is survived by her son Thomas and daughter-in-law Jennifer, her sisters Lola, Charlene and Murielle, her sister-in-law Betty Tracey, her many nieces and Nephews, her grandchildren Ashley, Desiree, Sandra, Richard and Joseph and her 8 great children. She had many close friends and was a member on the French Club of Bangor. Beacon Hospice and their team of incredibly caring and devoted workers helped make her passing easier for her family.

Joanne was widowed when her husband Donald passed away in 1995. They were happily married in 1963 and spent most of their years together living in Buffalo Grove, Illinois with their son. Joanne graduated from Notre Dame D'Acadie in Moncton, New Brunswick in June of 1954 and then worked for Fraser Paper where she met her husband. After Donald retired, they moved back to Bangor, Maine in 1987. Joanne volunteered at the front desk at EMMC. She stayed there as a volunteer for 24 years. Joanne lived a long and happy life and will be greatly missed by those who loved her.

A burial service for her cremated remains will be Saturday, June the 11th of 2022 at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery in Bangor. Gifts may be made to the Hospice Foundation of America at www.hospicefoundation.org .
