John E. Adams
Orono - John Edward Adams, 59, died unexpectedly October 9, 2024, at his home. Born February 4, 1965, son of Robert E. Adams (deceased) and Mary-Ellen Adams. John graduated from Bangor High School, 1984. John went on to attend Maine Maritime Academy after high school. John had that dry yankee wit. John met the love of his life, Angela, when he played football for Bangor and she was a cheerleader. Later, Angela became his wife and his love for her was only matched by the love for his daughter Mindy, and, son Chad. His greatest love and joy was his family. He would help anyone in need at any time of day. He loved the outdoors and could be found hunting, golfing, or fishing year round.
He took great pride in voluntarily maintaining the Gould Road for 35 years for the benefit of his extended family. Diagnosed in his early 50’s with Parkinson’s Disease, forcing him to retire from being a lineman at Versant Power after 30 years. Angela retired from the Maine Air National Guard to prioritize her husband. He and Angela welcomed three grandchildren into their family: Austin, Chloe (deceased) and Emma Adams. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, son and friend. It’s a sad ending to a beautiful love story.
Surviving are: his wife, Angela Adams, daughter, Melinda Brooke Adams and her partner Alex Stees, son, Chad Robert Adams and his wife, Erin Adams and his grandchildren Austin Adams and Emma Adams; three sisters Tina Seymour and her husband, Michael, Lois Adams and her husband, Brian, and Carolyn Adams; his three brother-in-laws Richard Arnold and wife, Brenda, Michael Arnold and his wife, Linda, Dennis Arnold and his wife, Krista and three sister-in-laws, Jeannie and her husband Buzz Gray, Patti and her husband John Dudley, Anntina and her husband, Steven Michaud and many nieces and nephews.
