ORRINGTON - John B. “Jack” Condon, 87, passed away at his home on August 7, 2024. He was born February 5, 1937, in Bangor, Maine. He is the son of the late John C. Condon and Erma H. (Roundy) Condon, of Orrington.
Jack dedicated over three decades of his life as the Warehouse Manager at Snow and Nealley, demonstrating a strong work ethic that he passed on to all his children. He was the devoted husband to Deanna (Sherrard) Condon for 47 years. They were loving partners in life and each other’s best friend.
An avid outdoorsman, Jack enjoyed vegetable gardening, hunting, fishing, and meticulously mowing his two acres of lawn. His passion for the Boston Red Sox was unparalleled, having followed nearly every game since his childhood on his transistor radio.
A devoted dad, he leaves behind his beloved, son, John E. Condon and beloved step-children, David Floyd, Debbie Davis and Diane Raymond who thought of him as their Dad. His legacy extends to 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Thomas Condon and Phyllis, and sister, Sally Condon. All will miss him dearly. Jack was predeceased by his son, Greg A. Condon; his sister, Mary Lou Koritzky; stepson, Douglas Floyd, and grandson, Mark Reynolds.
A committal service will be held at Marston Cemetery in Orrington at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 20, 2024, led by Rev. Carl Schreiber, of East Orrington Congregational Church. A reception will follow at EOCC where friends and family can gather to honor Jack’s memory. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Northern Light Home Care and Hospice, P.O.
