BANGOR – John Philip Fowler, 73, died Dec. 2, 2014 at a Bangor hospital. He was born July 6, 1941 in Bangor, son of John E. and Mary (Watson) Fowler.
Phil was a graduate of Bangor High School and attended Husson University. He had been employed as a small engine mechanic at Simpsons of Glenburn. Phil was an outdoor enthusiast, enjoying fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and will be remembered as an excellent ice skater.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Fowler; two daughters, Tammie Breen and her husband, Dana and Sheri Fowler; two grandsons, Jon-Christopher and Matthew Breen; two brothers, Edward Fowler and his wife, Carolyn and Richard Fowler and his wife, Margaret. He was predeceased by his parents.
A funeral service will be held 1pm Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor, with Andrew Files, lay chaplain at St. Joseph Hospital, officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 12 noon until time of service Saturday. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
